Made in the USA!
Often the suggestion is advanced that one cannot find things made in the U.S. anymore. That is not the case, and, as long as we have breath left, we will continue to work to ensure it never is. You can help too by buying American!
On that note, we have decided to create an area on our website where we will feature companies who still manufacture items in America. We encourage you to check out the "Made in the USA" link below and patronize the companies contained therein.

Changing our name, mission, and identity is nothing new or radical to our Association. Necessity gave birth to our Association during the Great Depression in 1933 and events necessitated a name change in 1960 from the Automotive Tool & Die Association to the Detroit Tooling Association, then again in 1991 to the Michigan Tooling Association and now in 2007 to the Tooling, Manufacturing & Technologies Association.
While these changes were necessary to reflect the changing times and our Association’s change with them, economic and geopolitical events have necessitated not only another name change but an expansion of our Association to include not only tooling companies but manufacturing and technology companies, as well.
The Tooling, Manufacturing & Technologies Association is a premium, full-service organization of member companies who have associated themselves in order to demand favorable legislative representation, lower costs and greater efficiencies through mass purchasing power and attentive and careful administration.
The TMTA is not a social association of lunch and dinner events. The only way that the ill-effects of multinational corporate controlled globalization is going to be corrected is through legislation at the state and federal levels. The cold reality is that, from a legislative representation standpoint, it’s a numbers game. The more members the TMTA has, which translates into votes, the more seriously legislators take us when we make appointments to see them. MORE
